Bible-based rehabilitation offers a fresh start. At SBM each resident man is counseled, educated, trained and equipped to become the productive member of society he was created to be.
Held on the 3rd Sat. in August each year this great event provides backpacks and school supplies to kids in addition to the opportunity to hear that they can overcome distractions at school through Jesus Christ. SBM wants children to begin the school year with the tools they need and experience success throughout the year.
Served to more than 800 individuals at noon on Thanksgiving Day. In addition, 1,400 food boxes are distributed on Mon. and Tue. (Thanksgiving Week) to families/individuals for food preparation at their home. - This event reaches Wilm. and beyond.! Adults who bring their children to the Banquet receive a mailed voucher in Dec. with their appointment day/time for the Christmas Shop where they receive new/free gifts for each child who had attended the banquet.
The doors to the mission open on Tuesday nights from 5-7PM to offer basic medical care to people living on the streets. Volunteer medical professionals are faithful in offering their services to those who otherwise would not receive this much needed care.
“Having seen the mission in action, I have immense confidence in the programs and services they provide homeless individuals and families. And I know what I've donated to support those programs compounds in value because of the staff's authentic dedication to their purpose.”
