Toys, toys and more toys. Last year through the Toy Drive and Christmas Shop we provided gifts for more than 400 children in Wilmington and the surrounding area. Your school, community group, church or business can begin collecting toys now. You canpick up an extra toy while you are doing your shopping and drop it off at the mission. We are especially in need of gifts for teenagers. Contact Nancy Wheeler to get started.
Adopt a Resident
Many of our residents have no home to go to, and no family to spend Christmas with. You can provide a few meaningful gifts to brighten their Christmas. Contact Kathleen Dorsey for the name of a resident to adopt.
More than 200 families will shop* in our Chirstmas Shop this year. Donated toys will need to be categorized and stocked to provide the atmosphere of a real store. Volunteers will guide shoppers through the store and assist in wrapping gifts and loading them into cars as needed. Sign up to volunteer right now.
Bless Our Residents
You are invited to bring your ensemble, choir, handbells or chorus to the mission to entertain our residents and overnight guests. Share your gifts with the people of Sunday Breakfast Mission this holiday season. Contact Rev. Tom Laymon to schedule.
Let Our Men's Choir Bless You
Our outstanding Men's Choir is comprised of residents in the long-term recovery program at the Mission. They would love to come and sing a few Christmas standards at your church, or office holiday party. The men put in a lot of hard work to, and for many of them the biggest thrill is to perform. Contact Rev. Tom Laymon to schedule.
