Planned Giving

Whether supported through an outright or planned gift, all of the
ministry at Sunday Breakfast Mission is made possible through charitable
support, volunteer involvement and a compassionate staff that is
called to serve the hurting in our community. The most common planned
gift is the bequest.
A gift by bequest is accomplished by naming Sunday Breakfast Mission
in your will. The federal government encourages this type of giving
by allowing an unlimited estate tax charitable deduction.
To make a bequest to Sunday Breakfast Mission, the following language
may be helpful to your lawyer:
I give, devise, and bequeath to Sunday Breakfast Mission the
sum of $__________ (or otherwise describe the gift or specify
a percentage of the estate.)
There are three ways you can make a bequest:
The Specific Bequest
In this case you simply designate a specific dollar amount or percentage
of your estate to Sunday Breakfast Mission.
The Residual Bequest
Your estate first pays all debts, taxes, expenses and specific bequests
with the remaining amount or residue transferred to Sunday Breakfast
Mission.
The Contingent Bequest
You can ask that Sunday Breakfast Mission receive all or a portion
of your estate under certain circumstances. For example, you can
name Sunday Breakfast Mission as a beneficiary of your estate only
if there are no surviving close family members.
